*Young Children are above all else forbidden to wander into the perilous marshes where his song may be heard, lest they be enchanted by its tune and drowned.*

This collaboration project was my saving grace during this period of portfolio stress! Working together with Elden, Daniel, William, Alexander and Alp helped anchor me, and let me focus on what I really love about game development; working with other people.

Elden Bähni created the concept, and is the mastermind behind this project!
Daniel Nilsson created the character, the trickster virtuoso Nekkor, based on Elden's concept.
William Bergsmo created the rig for Alexander Diec to animate, and Alp Erkin Çakmak made some enchanting music to go along with it!

I hadn't decided on my final piece, and after talking to Elden one lunch I jumped at the chance to help with their collab. Daniel had already blocked out the main shapes of the Banza, so I could refer to that for size reference. Having iterated on the blockout a bit, I threw it into ZBrush to start on the sculpt. The retopology and UV mapping was done in Blender, and the baking and texturing in Substance 3D Painter.
